The Great Meal Planning Adventure

It has started. 

One of the things we are going to try to do this year is meal plan. I think this will help us not only eat healthier, but also relieve some stress. If you know us at all, we also hate making decisions, so this will eliminate at least 3 choices we have to make each day. Its a win, win, win!

I looked for a couple weeks on Pinterest for a good idea to have a meal planning chart. I wanted something easy to look at, easy to put together and easy to see. Here is what I ended up making..

I kind of really love it! It works out perfectly for what we needed and bonus it doesn't take up any wall space!

COTC - 5 - My mom is Freaking Amazing!

I realized I skipped this post in my COTC series...

Earlier last year, my mom ran in the Mad Max Mud Run in Powderly, TX. I absolutely hate exercise, especially running, so this was both super impressive and super crazy to me. This wasn't a normal race. It involved jumping over logs on fire, climbing walls, and running through tons and tons of mud. My sister-in-law Meredith, who is also a little crazy, ran the race with my mom and also some people from church.I was able to go down and watch all the madness. My sisters Sarah and Lindsey had the brilliant idea to make t-shirts to support the runners. SO I helped them make shirt. If you can't tell they say 

Team MUrDock! <-- my idea! Meredith also made t-shirts for my mom, herself, and Diana (from church) they say Muddy Buddies!

I think this might become a race my mom does every year!

COTC - 6 - The Family Came to Visit!

One the 2nd weekend of November the Family came to town! I LOVED it! It was a weekend spent chilling, playing golf, watching Duck Dynasty and eating at an all you can eat Chinese Buffet! 

Unfortunately, I am an idiot and forgot to take any pictures of anything. I remembered this little fact about 5 mins before they were going to leave...hence all these random pictures. ENJOY!

This was such an amazing weekend. Having family in our home is one of my favorite things.

Our home is always open for anyone who wants to come visit "beautiful" Oklahoma.

COTC - 4 - Elder Murdock RETURNS!

On December 7th,  my brother Wesley cam home from his mission. Her served in the same mission that Chris served in, Seoul, South Korea. Although it was a really hard mission, Wesley was really blessed and enjoyed serving and teaching the people of South Korea the gospel of Jesus Christ. Congrats Wes on finishing your mission and serving the Lord.

I have never been through it, but there can't be many moments in life that compare to having your son return safely and with honor from his mission.
