One of Those Moments...

On Wednesday me and Chris had a DUH moment.

About two years ago Chris gave me a beautiful diamond necklace for Christmas. I wore it everyday! Not long after I was holding a baby and she reached up and pulled in my necklace till the chain broke. Ever since then we have been looking for a nice gold chain to replace it. All of the ones we saw were either too expensive or the chain wasn't big enough.

Two days ago we were in the mall getting my wedding ring and necklace inspected when we had a DUH moment. I mentioned to the jewler that my chain had broken on my necklace and he took me right over to the stainless steel chain. We had never thought to look at stainless steel chains!

$50 bucks later....

Now I get to wear my beautiful necklace again!!

Yay!

Chris Cooper, Landman

All summer long Chris has been at an internship for Chevron in Midland, TX. While it wasn't the greatest summer of my life (I was still in okc) and  if I'm being honest it really sucked, all of our hard work has paid off...

Earlier this week Chris was offered a job for Chevron at the Midland office! We are super duper excited!!

Keeping with Cooper tradition we went to celebrate at Fogo de Chao!

The nearest location to us was in Dallas so we decided to make a weekend of it! We stayed  in a jacuzzi suite, went to the galleria, ate at Fogo, caught a really great deal at Dillard's and just enjoyed each others company!

I am so proud of Chris and all his hard work. I know he will so a great job at his new job and he will have fun doing it!

Lets hope this is the last time we will celebrate Chris getting a new job!

Chris's choice for dessert: Tres Leche

My choice for dessert: Chocolate Mousse Cake!

What a great weekend!

Last weekend I was able to go and visit Chris!!
One of the highlights was being able to see his office and hear him talk about the work he is doing and the people he works with!

Love this sexy man!!

One other highlight from my trip was Oscars!! Best burrito I've ever had!!

We also celebrated Chris's birthday!!! I made Lou'S famous German Chocolate Cake for the first time.

I think it was a hit!!
