Recent Happenings!

We have had some interesting things happen in our lives over the last couple of weeks!

First off...I GOT A NEW JOB!! I am now officially a teacher at the St Thomas Aquinas Child Development Center in College Station. I absolutely love my job. My sister Sarah also works there. We go to lunch almost everyday. It is wonderful to be able to spend more time with her. I also get to work with kids all day and see their innocence and also their excitement about learning new things! Kids really do speak their minds about anything and everything. I have lots and lots of good stories to tell when I get home from work everyday, which on a side note is ALWAYS at 5:30. That's right, I have a set schedule, I work M-F from 8:30 - 5:30. What a blessing from the Lord that I was able to get this fantastic job that not only relieves some financial stress and but also makes me so HAPPY!

Second...we found out this week that Chris has been chosen as a finalist for the Hatton W. Sumners Foundation Scholarship to Oklahoma City Law School!! This is a huge honor. This scholarship is a full ride scholarship to Oklahoma City, PLUS a book stipend, PLUS a living stipend. There are only 20 finalists chosen out of all applicants that apply. Those 20 finalist are then flown back to Oklahoma City to go through an interview process. The interview will determine with applicants are then chosen to receive the scholarship. There are between 4 and 6 scholarships awarded each year. It would be a huge deal to be awarded the scholarship, but it is also huge to be chosen to be in the 20 because the 16-14 applicants who are not chosen to receive this scholarship are awarded  supplemental funding.
I am so proud of all the hard work that Chris has put into Law School. This decision will just help us become closer to figuring out where we are going to be! (Just in case anyone is wondering, there is no way we would turn down a full ride! So if he gets this scholarship, then we are going to be living in Oklahoma City!!)

And finally..last night Bryan and Meredith and Davanee stopped by for a surprise visit to show me Davanee's new sunglasses because there are just like Aunt Rebecca's! Davanee had decided she wanted to watch a movie, The Jungle Book,  in our bedroom and was snuggled underneath my favorite blanket! I just love this girl. She is so darn Cute!
