About a week ago I was feeling lucky and decided to see if I could make the delectable treat know as French Crullers! 
I have never made "real" donuts before. Cutting up some grands biscuits and rolling then in cinnamon and sugar doesn't count :) 
After piping out and deep frying them things were looking good!
At the suggestion of Chris I make some chocolate sauce stuff to dip them in.
Even better looking!
Then we tasted them.

I got the texture right, but they were really, as Chris put it "eggy."

Lesson learned:
If you really want a French Crullers just go to TNT!
