The Piano Guys

Last month Chris surprised me with tickets to see The Piano Guys. Who da thunk that they would come to a place like Midland, TX :) Chris didn't know who they were, just that I love them. Last Monday we were able to go and see them in concert. It was INCREDIBLE!! Even better than I thought they were going to be and Chris actually enjoyed it (BONUS!).

Texan Again

This weekend was filled with getting our cars registered and getting Texas license, but to make it official we had to hang our Texas flag. Gig'em Texas!

July has been a crazy month! 

Chris started a new job,

 I chopped all my hair off and got a new job!

we moved to Midland, TX 

and we (Finally) closed on our brand new house!!

Lately our days have been filled with putting stuff away and painting... 

The fire place is the color most of the house was and the walls are the new color that the kitchen, living room, and hallways are now.

What color should we paint the bedroom?

I like the far right! The picture makes it look darker than it really. Too bad I didn't like the far left, it has the coolest name - Sharkfin!! :)

Birthday Boy!!

Today Chris turned 28! When I asked him what he wanted for his birthday he said Nothing. I wasn't having any of that, but we did keep is very low key. Chris got to watch World Cup all day! Right after I got off work I ran over and bought Chris a Red Velvet mini bundt cake and sang Happy Birthday! Then it was Present Time!!! After presents we went to dinner at Hefner Grill. Happy Birthday Chris!! Love you Mucho!!

May was a busy month, but the most important thing happened on May 18th. 

CHRIS GRADUATED FROM LAW SCHOOL!

We had a great time celebrating Chris for the weekend.

First up was a party at our apartment pool gazebo. We talked, laughed, played golf and tennis, and ate some really great BBQ. 

After our party, we headed over to party #2. When we started this law school journey, my smart husband was awarded a huge scholarship called the Hatton W Sumners Scholarship and the foundation throws a party for the graduation seniors every year. This year it was on a rooftop patio and lucky me I got baked in the sun. :)

After Uncle Hatton's party everybody had FREE TIME! The Cooper went back to their hotel so the Boys and Aunt Cupcake could nap. The Murdocks went to Bass Pro Shop to look at the fish and all the interesting stuff they have there. Turns out on that Saturday at Bass Pro you could also cook S'mores for FREE! We also went on the Bricktown riverwalk to see some cool statues!

                                              

                                              

                                              

                                   

The next day it was time for the Graduation!! I am a little bias, but Chris's graduation was the coolest I have been to. How many graduation have you been to where they had live bagpipes playing during the processional? The speaker was good, albeit a little scattered, and though I don't know if the graduates liked it, during the hour long hooding ceremony the announcer told some pretty funny jokes :) Also, I didn't get to see him, but Aaron Rodgers Hey Rodgers, Discount Double Check! was there. Chris also got to wear a funny hat Tam!

I have never been as proud of Chris as I was when we walked across that stage. I may or may not have gotten a little teary eyed. It has been a hard 3 years, but HE DID IT! All the studying, prepping, face numbing hours have been worth it. I love you Dr. Cooper. You are an incredible person and I am proud to call you my husband!

Things are getting real...

OKC Temple

Last weekend we had a wonderful time when Chris's parents came to town. We ate yummy food, did some furniture shopping, saw Uncle Sam and Josh and just enjoyed having family in town, but my favorite part of the weekend was going to the temple with them. The temple is always just a little more special when you have family with you!.
