COTC - Mini Series - 3.2

WARNING: TONS & TON OF PICTURES! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Christmas Day at the Murdock home starts early. Then we all line up in the hallway from oldest to youngest and then we can run out and see what Santa brought us.

One highlight this year was Grandma and Grandpa Whitworth were able to come down and spend the holiday with us. One thing they always do on Christmas is have candy trays out all day for everyone to eat. When trays get low, magically they are re-filled so there is plenty of candy to eat throughout the day!

Merry Christmas!

The Christmas Bush!

We were so blessed this year. Thanks for everyone who gave us presents this year. WE LOVED EVERYTHING!

and...here are some more random pictures of the Christmas holiday in Paris and other random Christmas goodness!

AND THAT ENDS OUT MINI SERIES!

Cleaning Out the Camera - 3.1

Mini Series 3.1

Christmas Eve.

On Christmas Eve my family has a tradition of acting out the nativity. It is really fun. Everyone dresses up and my dad and grandpa read from the scriptures the story of Christ's birth. This has always been a way for us to keep Christ at the forefront of our Christmas celebration.
I didn't get too many pictures of the nativity because I was in it...but here are a couple.

Chris and I were sheep...notice our sheep ears!

and here are the Three Wise Man. Yes, those are crowns made from balloons!

Another tradition we do on Christmas Eve is have a family talent show. Everyone has to participate.
There are lots of different talents.
Many choose to play the piano...

Hannah acted like a frog...

More playing the piano...

David  caught 20 coins off his elbow.

Lindsey did a magic trick.

Sarah and Aaron sang a song and then showed a slide show of all the fish they had caught throughout the year.

As you can tell from the "talents" it was pretty funny!

Even the adults did talents. It made for some good memories!

In case anyone was wondering... for my talent I made Lou's famous hot chocolate.

For Chris's talent, we hooked up his ipod to an ihome and then I played a song and he guessed the song and artist in under 7 seconds!  He can do this for almost every song on his ipod, but we only went through 20 for his talent. Unfortunately, I was running the ipod so I didn't get a picture of Chris's talent.
Needless to say, everyone was duly impressed with our mad skills.

Also on Christmas Eve, we open stockings from Grandma and Grandpa and eat tons of wonderful food.
Happy Christmas Eve!

(3.2 coming soon...)

Cleaning out the Camera - Part 3.0

Christmas in Paris!

Part 3 of Cleaning out the Camera is so jam packed full of cool stuff it requires a mini series.
Christmas is a time when the all the family gets together we always try to do as many things a possible.

So Part 3.0...
A couple Christmas's ago my mom started a new tradition of doing a family service project over the holiday. I think this is a fantastic idea and this year's was super fun!

For our service project we went to a nursing home and made BALLOON ANIMALS for any resident who wanted one. It was super FUN, I got to learn how to make Balloon Animals :) and we got to SERVE someone in the process.

WHOOP FOR SERVICE!

My family is so cool. I now have a new talent...making balloon animals!

Cleaning Out the Camera - Part 2

Part 2 consists of all the EXCITING Randomness that has accumulated on the camera over the past two months...

1. I got a new office chair. Whoop Whoop!

 2. Some of you might remember when I got a huge burn on my arm when the oven door closed while I was checking on some rolls....(see other random post here)
My dad decided to personally make sure it never happened again.
These are probably the longest oven mitts I have ever seen!

3. We got a new bathroom rug! (about now you might be questioning the excitement of my randomness)

4. We went to to a Korean Market, and I found out what Chris's least favorite thing he drank on his mission was...

5. and finally...we figured out what why our vacuum cleaner wasn't sucking!

... SUPER exciting stuff....

This blog post pretty much sums up why I have a hard time writing blog posts...

A&M-41 OU-13

For the last couple of weeks I have been getting hammered at work by all the OU fans about how good their quarterback was and how Johnny Football was partying too much from winning the Heisman so he wasn't going to have a good game. Blah Blah Blah.

I withstood all this abuse with only a little back talk.

On Friday, like any good Aggie, I wore my A&M jersey to work and as I left I wished all the poor OU fans good luck.

That night A&M put the HAMMER down on the sooners!!!! WHOOP!

This is what I wore to work today...

Nothing could be better right now than being an Aggie in Oklahoma!

Thanks and Gig'em!

ps. you know it was a beat down when the most outspoken ou fan in the office tapes this to your computer...

Needless to say this will be framed and hanging on my office wall!
